Hydropsyche Tournament 10'6 #2/3 Fly Rod - Soldarini
Fly Rod - Hydropsyche Tournament 10'6 #2/3 - SOLDARINI FLY TACKLE
The Soldarini Hydropsyche Tournament 10'6 #2/3 is a high-end rod designed primarily for euro nymphing. Its 10'6 length and medium fast action offer an excellent balance of accuracy, drift control and responsiveness with light rigs.
This version really stands out for fine, fast-paced fishing, mainly with a single nymph or in a dry-dropper rig. Its action lets you maintain excellent line control and strike quickly, while retaining enough progressive flex to play fish on fine tippets.
Key strengths
- 10'6 for euro nymphing: a particularly effective length for controlling the drift and reducing line sag.
- Medium fast action: a responsive, accurate action especially suited to fine, fast nymphing.
- Down-locking reel seat: downward locking, well suited to balancing a long nymphing rod.
- Very light: only 81 g as stated by Soldarini.
- Slim, responsive blank: a combination of 8 types of high-modulus carbon, 45° fibres and specific resins.
- 12 Recoil guides: build specified with the first guide located 25 cm from the handle to make line management easier.
- Fine presentations: particularly suited to light rigs, small to medium-sized rivers and accurate presentations.
- 4-piece: practical format for transport, supplied with a rectangular zippered carry case.

Its very slim blank, low 81 g weight, medium fast action and carefully finished build with a down-locking reel seat make it a precise, lightweight and highly refined rod. It is aimed at demanding anglers looking for a high-performance rod for fine presentations, with an excellent level of finish and a real sense of control on the water.
