Fly Rods - Performer 2.0 - JMC

The JMC Performer 2.0 rods are the new generation of the famous Performer fly rods. Developed in collaboration with competitors from the French national fly fishing team, this range brings together four technical models designed for modern dry fly, dry-dropper fishing and euro nymphing approaches.

All rods in the series are built on an IM10 40T Toray CA 1100G blank in unsanded raw carbon. Their Medium Fast action is designed to balance accuracy, responsiveness and line control.

The tip section stands out with 45° angled guides, a layout chosen by JMC to help reduce line coils during casting. The AAA cork handle and full aluminium reel seat complete this particularly well-finished build.

The four Performer 2.0 models

Performer 2.0 9'4 #3/4: specifically designed for dry fly fishing on small and medium-sized rivers. Its contained length suits accurate presentations and approaches using very fine tippets.

Performer 2.0 9'9 #3/4: the all-rounder in the range. This version is particularly well suited to dry-dropper fishing, while still offering a comfortable length for dry fly fishing or even euro nymphing.

Performer 2.0 10'6 #2/3: developed specifically for modern euro nymphing techniques. Its 10'6 format provides the reach needed to control the drift while remaining more compact than the 11'2 model.

Performer 2.0 11'2 #2/3: the longest version in the series, also designed for euro nymphing. Its 11'2 length provides extra reach to follow drifts and control the line at distance.

The 9'9 #3/4 will be the most versatile choice in the series. For mainly euro nymphing use, the choice between the 10'6 #2/3 and the 11'2 #2/3 will mostly depend on the reach you are looking for.
