My journey as a fisherman
The currents of the rivers echoed the tumults of my adolescence. The hatching of the Mayflies became a symptom of an adulthood that was trying to emerge with turbulence.
At a time when we are venturing to meet ourselves, I have therefore become acquainted with my first fishing rod and the humble apprenticeship that fish and waterways impose on us.
I taught myself, with the help of a few dry flies and a number of hoods.
And then I left everything aside for several years.
I built my foundation: loving family, thriving business, stress and lack of rest.
So in 2019, I needed to take a step back, to find an escape to disconnect from this life with its excesses, its "always more" and its "way too much". I went back to greet the brown trout.
The competition
I needed to experience surpassing myself in my passion. So, I entered the competition with several convictions: the desire to go and meet new rivers, new techniques and this driving adrenaline in the worst conditions.
Fishing well in the river that flows down from your house is one thing. Fishing well in all rivers is another, very different thing. Competition has taught me humility and the importance of small details. All those little adjustments – whether in terms of technique or equipment – that often make the difference.

The Fine Fly
La Fine Mouche is part of a return to simplicity and attention to detail, offering a selection of essential products for any river or reservoir fishing enthusiast. It focuses on fly tying and the accessories needed on the vice or at the water's edge.
All products have been carefully tested in fishing conditions before being approved and offered on the site.
The idea is to combine reasonable cost, technicality and high quality requirements to allow you to embark on the adventure (backhand and forehand).
