Dry fly - Tavanas GDC 08-B - Devaux

The Tavanas GDC 08-B by Devaux is a highly visible sedge that imitates the silhouette of an adult caddisfly. Its white post provides an excellent visual marker on the water, especially in currents or when the light changes during the drift.

Its black body and black thorax give the pattern a dark, well-contrasted silhouette, paired with a long, full wing. When properly dressed with floatant, this fly can also be used as a suspender in a dry-dropper setup and support a nymph fitted with a tungsten bead up to 2.8 mm.

A highly visible and versatile sedge

The white post makes it easy to keep the fly in sight and track every change in the drift. Used in a dry-dropper setup, it also acts as a marker to detect takes quickly, while remaining an effective sedge imitation fished on its own as a dry fly.
