The following size chart will help you find the right wader size based on your measurements. By maximum circumference, we mean the largest body circumference (which may be at the chest, waist, or hips, depending on your build). The measurements shown in the chart refer to body measurements and NOT the waders' measurements.

This chart is primarily a guide to help you find the right size. The fit of fishing apparel depends not only on your measurements, but also on your preferences. Some people prefer a close fit, while others prefer a looser cut.

TOTALLY WATERPROOF AND HIGHLY BREATHABLE

Top-class waders must keep you dry. They need to be reliably watertight and prevent water from getting in even when you're standing in the water for long periods. However, when fly fishing you're constantly on the move, and your body regulates temperature by starting to sweat. To keep you dry from the inside, high-quality waders must also be breathable, so sweat can escape as water vapour before condensation forms inside.

The heart of the ALPINE DIVER V3 is a modern, high-performance 5-layer fabric made in Japan, which is not only fully waterproof but also highly breathable, and also offers impressive abrasion and tear resistance. The lower section is made from an especially tough fabric, as this is the area most exposed to wear. In the upper section, a slightly lighter fabric was chosen to optimize wearing comfort and freedom of movement. In terms of waterproofing and breathability, however, both fabrics are identical.

The most important technical properties and key figures for the tightly woven, multi-layer microfibre fabric:

• Waterproof rating > 30,000mm water column
• Breathability > 5,000g/m²/24 hours
• Fabric weight in the lower section: approx. 310g/m²
• Fabric weight at chest level: approx. 220g/m²
• High abrasion and tear resistance

WELDED SEAMS, OPTIMIZED CUTS

As with the previous model, the individual fabric panels are joined using the proven fabric welding process without traditional stitched seams. The fabric parts to be joined are welded together under pressure and heat using a patented process. This process ensures extremely durable, hard-wearing bonds without perforating the fabric countless times with needle and thread.

The pattern pieces have also been slightly improved so the waders now offer an optimized fit, especially around the pelvis and hips, and are even more comfortable to wear. The sizing has also been slightly revised, although the ALPINE DIVER V3 is still based on European clothing sizes. In addition to standard sizes, additional size combinations have been introduced, so they are now available for almost every body type.

Last but not least, during the development process the focus was also placed on a modern, clean, minimalist design. This is further emphasized by the subtle, well-matched color palette separating the different fabric zones. While the lower section is carbon, the upper section is colored orion blue.

TWO WADERS IN ONE

One reason for the success of the ALPINE DIVER models so far has certainly been the clever strap system, allowing them to be worn both as chest waders and as waist-high waders. Ultimately, the ALPINE V3 is not only a chest wader and a waist-high wader at the same time, but also everything in between. The waders can be securely locked at any height and will then reliably stay in that position.

This modularity is especially comfortable in summer when temperatures are high and when fishing shallow water. On the ALPINE DIVER V3, this practical feature was not only retained, but certain elements were made even more comfortable. For example, the front tightening attachments of the carry system are now even easier to open, as a handy pull tab has been added to the straps.

In addition, the back panel has been adjusted so it follows any desired setting even better. In just a few easy steps, you can adjust the height of your waders without having to open the straps or even take them off.

The shoulder padding has also been improved. The neoprene padding is now fixed at the strap connection point while still allowing the front elastic straps to be adjusted across a wide range. The padding is one piece and is designed to distribute weight comfortably and evenly across the shoulders without the straps digging into your neck.

The straps themselves are of course length-adjustable and feature a new buckle that can be easily operated with one hand by sliding the two parts against each other. Once closed, the buckle holds very securely and will not open accidentally. Compared to traditional click buckles, these Magic Slider buckles are much less bulky and therefore more comfortable to wear.

An elasticated belt with adjustment options on both sides allows you to fine-tune the waders to your needs, whether worn chest-high or waist-high. A wide elastic wading belt with a large, robust click buckle also keeps the waders securely in place.

The elastic belt and wading belt not only significantly increase comfort, but also reduce water ingress in the event of an accidental fall, contributing to greater safety while fishing.

INTEGRATED KNEE PROTECTION

Foam padding in the knee area makes kneeling far more comfortable. Especially in very clear conditions - clear water and wary fish - you will be more successful if you get low. The foam pad is generously sized and covers the entire knee area. It is inserted into a specially designed pocket and can also be removed.

With this knee protection, you'll be tempted to kneel much more often in all kinds of spots, because the cushioning properties of the insert mean it is no longer uncomfortable even on sharp stones. Nevertheless, please take care of your waders. The fabric used in the lower section is particularly tough, but still not indestructible.

IMPROVED FIT AND DURABILITY

Even if it's not obvious at first glance, a number of details have been optimized on the neoprene socks and gravel guards, which should significantly improve comfort and durability.

The booties made from 4mm neoprene have received a thicker coating, making them even more robust and abrasion-resistant. A rubber coating in a honeycomb pattern has also been applied to the sole, further reinforcing this high-wear area. At the same time, this reduces slipping/rubbing of the neoprene booties inside wading boots and therefore prevents wear. The bootie cut has been made a bit more ergonomic. By optimizing the cut of the different neoprene pieces, it is also possible to reduce the number and length of glued seams and position them optimally so they are not in high-wear areas. Of course, all glued seams on this model's neoprene socks are also protected by an abrasion-resistant tape.

For the gravel guards, neoprene with a tough outer layer is also used. Compared to the previous model, however, it is now easier to put on your boots. To further increase the durability of the gravel guards, they are no longer simply cut at the bottom edge; instead, the edge is enclosed in a tough fabric hem. This prevents the gravel guards from fraying prematurely.

WELL-DESIGNED FEATURES

Thanks to the large number of available pockets, the ALPINE DIVER V3 offers enough storage space for all kinds of accessories, and you can fish without a vest with no problem, which is particularly pleasant during the warm season.

The large front chest pocket reliably protects its contents from splashes, spray, or showers thanks to a horizontal, water-repellent YKK zipper. The wide opening and deep pocket mean that even large fly boxes fit easily inside.

There are two pockets on the side to keep your hands warm. They are lined inside with a soft fleece. Thanks to the YKK zippers, they can also be used as additional storage pockets for accessories. Another clever detail is the seam allowance on the inside of the zip so it doesn't rub your hand when you warm your hands. There are two more pockets inside on the chest, which can be folded outward for easy handling. Even if you wear them waist-high, it is recommended to fold out the inner chest pocket. This way, you can easily access your pockets at any time and keep various accessories such as leaders, etc. within reach.

The first chest pocket is permanently attached to the waders and features two stacked compartments, with the upper compartment made from mesh fabric. Each compartment can be securely closed with its own YKK zipper. One of the compartments is also equipped with a carabiner lanyard so you can safely store your car keys or other important items. The attached female Velcro can be used to attach other accessories, and also serves as a fly patch to dry your flies.

The second inner chest pocket is waterproof, made from transparent plastic, and is ideal for safely storing your smartphone - waterlogged phones are now a thing of the past! Thanks to touch technology, you can use your smartphone without taking it out. The phone pouch is attached inside with Velcro and can be removed effortlessly.

Your landing net can be attached to the sturdy D-ring mounted on the wader harness using a net magnet. Even if you convert them to waist-high waders while fishing, the D-ring - and therefore your landing net - will stay in place.
