The VEEVUS 12/0 is a very fine and exceptionally strong tying thread, designed for neat, slim fly patterns (dry flies, nymphs, emergers, small lightweight streamers).
Its polyester construction and unwaxed finish deliver smooth wraps and excellent tension control.
This is a flat thread that is easy to split (splitable), making it ideal for creating very clean dubbing loops.

Recommended uses
- Small dry flies, lightweight nymphs, emergers, flies.
- Patterns that require minimal bulk: compact heads, smooth bodies, subtle segmentation.
- Split thread techniques: ultra-fine dubbing loop, trapping fibres (CDC, hair, etc.).
Tying tips
- Gradual tension: 12/0 is very strong, but benefits from tightening in stages (better consistency).
- Flat thread: let it flatten to cover without bulk; twist it if you want more bite and a rounder profile.
- Split thread: split the thread, insert dubbing/fibres, then twist gently with a twister for an ultra-clean dubbing loop.
- Finish: a micro-drop of varnish/UV on the whip finish secures the fly.
