Sondergaard Creek stripping basket - Stripping Basket
The Sondergaard Creek is a compact stripping basket designed to keep fly line and shooting line neatly organised while fly fishing. Smaller than the Coastal model, it sits unobtrusively at the waist while effectively reducing tangles and snags on rocks, weed, vegetation or equipment.
Its high-density closed-cell foam construction does not absorb water and provides good buoyancy and excellent durability. The flexible silicone spikes keep the coils apart, allowing the line to shoot with minimal resistance during the cast.
The basket fits comfortably against the body thanks to its ergonomic shape and adjustable belt with Velcro fastening. Its wide-open design, combined with 12 drainage holes, allows water to drain quickly in rain, waves or when wading.
Particularly useful for saltwater fly fishing and stillwater fly fishing, the Creek keeps fly line clear of the water, rocks and vegetation. This makes repeated casting and shooting line for distance easier, especially when wading or fishing from an overgrown bank.
Designed and handmade in Denmark, the Sondergaard Creek is suitable for wading and fishing from the shore, a boat or a float tube.
