Perdigon Nymph – Red Butt Black Perdigon

It is a must-have nymph. Its combination of a dark body and a bright red tag at the rear (the famous "red butt") makes it a highly attractive pattern. It can trigger strikes from even the wariest fish.

The " Red Butt Black Perdigon " nymphs are part of our new " Tactical Series " nymph collection. These are very high-end perdigons , using the best materials available. Each fly is meticulously tied by our most experienced fly tyers.

In France, this nymph is called "La Noire à Cul Rouge".

The "Red Butt Black Perdigon -  Silver Bead " benefits from a unique varnishing process for unrivaled quality.

Two types of varnish are used, applied in 4 steps :

• The first two coats are made with a ceramic finishing varnish , designed to permanently fix the colors of the materials. Each coat requires a drying time of 48 hours.
  
• The third layer is a UV resin , cured under a UV lamp.
• The fourth and final layer is also a UV resin , but it is cured by direct exposure to sunlight for 10 hours .
  

That’s a total of 4 coats of varnish!

These coatings of several layers of varnish and UV resin make the nymph very resistant to wear, obstacles and friction with stones.

In addition, these perdigons are tied on very high quality Hanák hooks:

• H 230 BL for sizes 12 and 14 .
• H 130 BL for sizes 14 , 16 and 18 .

Hooks of great regularity and exceptional sharpness, among the best in the world .

Please note that certain sizes of nymphs may exceptionally be tied on Dohiku 301 hooks in case of a stock shortage at Hanak. The quality level of Dohiku hooks is equally high.

Optimized descent speed

Thanks to their smooth, varnished bodies, perdigones quickly penetrate the water column. This allows them to reach deep areas and fish on the bottom, even in fast currents.

Adapt the weight nymph to the profile of the river:

To avoid arousing the fish's suspicion, it is essential to drift the nymph as naturally as possible. Weighting has a considerable impact on the quality of your drifts.

If you fish "too heavy," your line will be too tight. The nymph will drag underwater and alert the fish.

If you fish "too light", your nymph will stay in the upper layer of water and will be carried away by the current very quickly.
