THE HIGH N DRY Floating Gel is solvent free and environmentally friendly.
The High N Dry Gel Floatant is designed with special and unique materials and is specifically for those fly fishers who prefer to dress their flies with their fingers or only certain areas of their flies. This gel has a lower viscosity than most, allowing it to penetrate the fly's materials and create a protective barrier to keep moisture out. It is suitable for all types of dry flies and floating emergers. Its consistency and composition also make it highly effective on flies tied with CDC.
Apply the floatant with your fingers and massage it into the fly. The gel is non-toxic and environmentally friendly, making it safe for the angler as well. A good tip for CDC flies: start with the body and tail, then finish with the wings or hackle fibers. This helps avoid overapplying floatant to CDC, which only needs a light touch.
The floatant is delivered in a Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE) bottle, allowing maximum control of the amount used. Its fine tip makes it easy to apply precisely, and the top cap is attached to the container with a tab to prevent loss and leakage.

Contrairement à d’autres produits hydrophobes, celui là n’a pas d’odeur de solvant organique et a une pulvérisations très efficace.
Résultat : la mouche n’est pas trop chargée, et lorsqu’on se rince les doigts en tenant la mouche ou qu’on la pose sur l’eau immédiatement (testé à mes pieds après pulvé), il n’apparaît qu’un faible voile sur l’eau, même pas irisé.
Testé sur des petites French tricolores et sur des petits sedges en chevreuil ou lièvre. Très bonne performance de flottaison en rivière vosgienne semi-rapide. Prise de quelques truites / chevesnes / ombres.
Seul bémol, s’il devait y en avoir un, je verrais bien un spray de contenance moindre (25 ou 30g ?), pour gagner de la place dans la poche poitrine dédiée. À voir le durée sur la saison de celui ci.
