Guideline Elevation Fly Rod

The Elevation series is a range of medium-fast action rods that are ultra-lightweight and smooth.

Guideline Elevation rods feature a sensitive, very stable tip. They forgive beginners' mistakes yet lose nothing in accuracy. Their resonance helps you detect even the slightest takes. These are excellent modern rods with a light-in-hand feel and an action that suits anglers of all levels. 

The Elevation rods in #4 or #5 line weights are perfect for trout fishing. 

The #6 version is best suited to larger flies, bigger fish and windy conditions. 

The Elevation rods in #7, #8 and #9 are best suited for pike, salmon and other big fish.

Guideline prioritizes a sustainable production process with environmentally friendly components.

• a matte blank, lightly polished, with no added coloring, giving it a dark graphite grey look. Any excess carbon particles are collected in a separate tank. The blank features a subtle spiral pattern and a thin matte finish.
• 3A cork handle without cork fillers. This reduces the levels of epoxy resins required in the grips. Even the lightest rods have a small cork butt, and from 9' #7, all rods are fitted with a full-size fighting butt.
• The metal reel seat parts are "bright anodized", the least toxic process possible for an aluminum reel seat. No chrome (lead) or paint is used in the anodizing bath.
• For blank coatings, guide wraps, and the adhesive used to mount the grips and reel seat, Guideline uses a low-toxicity bio-based epoxy, tested and approved with extremely low levels of regulated chemicals. This also contributes to a better working environment during the production assembly phase, minimizing odors that may be hazardous to health.
• The rods are fitted with lightweight single-foot guides
• The rod tube is made from recyclable polypropylene (PP); it is lighter and has a 20% smaller diameter than standard PVC tubes. This saves space and reduces shipping costs.
