Fast intermediate fly line - SUPERFLO 40+ EXTREME - AIRFLO
The Superflo 40+ Extreme Fast Intermediate is a fly line designed for distance fishing, especially stillwater fly fishing. Its short-head profile loads the rod quickly and reduces the number of false casts needed before shooting the line.
This Fast Intermediate version sinks at around 1.5 ips (approx. 3.8 cm/s) and lets you fish deeper than a slow intermediate while maintaining a progressive sink rate. It is well suited to quickly searching just below the surface and keeping flies in the intermediate water layer.
The Superflo technology combines a PVC-free coating with a thin running line to reduce friction through the guides. The low-stretch Power Core improves casting feedback, fly line control and bite detection at distance.

What is it for?
The Fast Inter version is particularly effective when fish are holding below the surface layer or when you need to get down faster than with a Slow Intermediate. Its short head also makes distance casting easier from the bank when back-cast space is limited.
La Fine Mouche's take: the 40+ Extreme Fast Inter is an excellent option for the stillwater angler who wants to combine casting distance with depth control. With a sink rate of 1.5 ips (approx. 3.8 cm/s), it gets below the surface film quickly and fishes deeper than a slow intermediate, without moving up to a fast sinking line.
