Eggstasy Chenille "Candy Floss" - 10 mm

Our Eggstasy Chenille "Candy Floss" is one of our favourite materials for tying blobs, eggs and boobies designed for stillwater fly fishing.

Its ultra-fine, supple fibres pulsate enticingly with the slightest movement.

Tying Tips:

- Recommended hook: Hanak H270BL, size 10 or 12

- Fly types: blobs with tungsten bead or boobies

- Brushing: once your fly is tied, it’s essential to brush out the fibres with a Velcro-style brush for at least 30 seconds to achieve the distinctive "Candy Floss" effect that makes this material so effective.

- Weighting: use a tungsten bead of at least 2.5 mm, ideally 2.8 mm or 3 mm when fishing under a bung.
The ultra-fine fibres trap air during casting, so it’s important to weight your flies properly to ensure they sink as intended.

Techniques:

- Bung fishing: blobs tied with this material are especially effective for bung fishing, fished with one or two droppers below the indicator.

- Booby fishing: this chenille is perfect for tying booby bodies; use foam cylinders or polystyrene balls for the eyes.
