Slow INTERMEDIATE Coastal Classic Fly Line - Guideline
A slow intermediate fly line designed for coastal fly fishing, but also perfect for stillwater fly fishing when you want to fish your fly just under the surface with control and stealth.
The Coastal Classic Slow Intermediate is the updated version of Guideline’s iconic Coastal: an easy-to-cast WF profile with an optimised taper to cut through the wind.
Its new coating formula, more supple in cold water, has very little line memory.
This fly line is also highly effective for stillwater fly fishing, especially when you need to cover the upper layer.
Its key advantage: a density-compensated head for a uniform sink. It sinks steadily and evenly, without imbalance between front and rear, improving contact and strike detection.
Key features
- Slow intermediate: ideal for fishing just under the surface film
- Density-compensated: head sinks evenly for better contact
- Low stretch core: better strike detection, even at range
- Cold-water optimised coating: very low memory, smooth handling, fewer tangles
- Wind-cutting profile: distance and stability in coastal conditions
- Long front taper: clean presentation while keeping power for streamers
- 2m back taper: great line control for carrying line and long casts
- Micro loops on both ends + ID marking on the fly line for easier identification
