Guideline Classic Trout WF Floating Fly Line
The Guideline Classic Trout WF Floating is a 100% floating fly line designed for versatile use. Its WF (Weight Forward) taper delivers easy casting, loads the rod quickly, and offers excellent distance control. It is an all-round line, ideal on rivers as well as lakes/reservoirs for dry-fly, light nymphing, or wet-fly fishing.
Density and on-water performance
| Version | Density | On-water read |
|---|---|---|
| Float / Floating | 100% floating | Stays on the surface for optimal drift control and clean presentations: ideal for dry fly, light nymphing, wet fly, and slow retrieves in stillwater. |
Recommended uses
- River: Pure dry-fly fishing, tight-line nymphing, wet fly, good drift management and clean presentations.
- Lake / reservoir: Blob fishing, dry fly, light nymphs, wet flies, small streamers fished “high” just under the surface.
- Versatility: an excellent “go-to” line to set up a versatile trout rod.
Key benefits
