The "Squirmy Worm" is a highly effective fly that imitates an aquatic worm. Its body of Squirmy Worm 1.5 mm in "Hot Red", Peacock dubbing in "Dark Copper UV" and 3 mm silver slotted tungsten bead make it highly attractive and quick to sink.
Relatively simple to tie, it is ideal for dry-dropper fishing on stillwaters and works wonders for grayling in rivers.
Squirmy Worm chenille is available in a range of colours: varying the chenille and tungsten bead colours can be worthwhile depending on the conditions and light levels.
Recommended hook sizes by bead size:
- 2.5 mm bead → H20 hook
- 3 mm bead → H18 hook
- 3.5 mm bead → H16 hook
